O homem é um ser que procura. O que caracteriza o ser humano é a necessidade de procurar e procurar por distintos caminhos, que podem ser contraditórios. Não sabemos se encontramos e não sabemos se o que encontrámos é alguma vez o que estávamos procurando, ou se não há mais o que procurar depois de haver encontrado algo. Portanto, somos seres de procura.

The human is a being that seeks. What characterizes the human being is the necessity to seek and to seek through distinct ways, that may be contradictory.

Ο άνθρωπος είναι ένα όν που αναζητά. Αυτό που χαρακτηρίζει την αθρώπινη ύπαρξη είναι η ανάγκη για αναζήτηση και η αναζήτηση σε διαφορετικούς δρόμους, που μπορεί να είναι αντιφατικοί. Δεν ξέρουμε αν θα βρούμε κάτι και δεν ξέρουμε αν αυτό που βρήκαμε είναι αυτό που αναζητούσαμε, ή αν υπάρχει κάτι άλλο να αναζητήσουμε αφότου βρήκαμε κάτι. Για αυτό είμαστε όντα της αναζήτησης.
